There are tens of sign-posted hiking trails in the area surrounding the town, at an altitude of from 350 to 1150 metres above sea level and also a number of cycle and ski trails. Many interesting sightseeing trips can also be made from the town by car.
Two local sign-posted hiking circuits, 4.5 and 6 km long, start out from the "Rožnov" camping sites. Many of the hiking trails given in the tour guide for Rožnov and the surrounding area in 1940 (na Hradisko, Kamenárka, Kozinec) have been neglected and are not even marked in modern maps. The system of spa paths on the Petřekov (Wilsonova) hillside (the north slope above the upper lock of the Bečva River) has remained in the best condition.

- the red local circuit from the camping sites to the upper bridge over the Bečva River, past the Wallachian Museum, around Kluzova peak then on to the river and back to the upper bridge
- the blue local circuit from the same place to Černá hora (Black Mountain) and back again.
